Branding Identity | indigenous festival
The Circles Indigenous Festival brand identity centers on Indigenous Canadian artist Norval Morrisseau's vibrant artwork. By incorporating his colorful shapes and patterns, the design creates a modern, engaging style that blends the festival’s joyful atmosphere with traditional native art. Collaborating with Indigenous friends ensured cultural appropriateness throughout the rebranding process. Held at Granville Island in Vancouver, BC, on the ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh tribes, the festival showcases Indigenous artists, musicians, and performers, offering attendees a deeper appreciation of Indigenous culture through celebration and cultural exchange. Also to get a deeper understanding I had help from my close Indigenous friend that approved the artwork and the conceptual names throughout my festival rebrand.
